(a) whether the Government proposes to open new law universities in the
country;
(b) if so, the details thereof, State-wise;
(c) the number of such institutes functioning in the country,
at present; and
(d) the time by which such new institutes are likely to be set up?

(a),(b),(c)&(d) Yes, Madam. It is proposed to establish a `National Law
University in every State as a school of excellence. The modalities in
this regard are being worked out. Presently, 15 such Universities
functioning in the country
