(a) the period of settlement of East Pakistani Refugees in the Nishindapur, Diglipur Tehsil
in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands;
(b) whether the Andaman District Zila Parishad sanctioned/released funds to the Andaman
Lakshadweep Harbour Works for Connectivity Bridge over the Kalighat Nallah; and
(c) if so, the details thereof and the time by which the construct work is likely to be
started?

(a): The East Pakistani Refugees were settled during the period of 1960 at the Nishindapur,
Diglipur Tehsil in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
(b) & (c): Yes Madam. An amount of Rs. 1,31,00,000/- was deposited by the Andaman Zilla
Parishad during September, 2003 to the Andaman Lakshadweep Harbour Works for construction
of bridge over the Kalighat Nallah. The construction work shall commence after due clearances.
