Question : AYURVEDIC HOMOEOPATHIC FACILITIES TO SENIOR CITIZENS .



(a) whether the Government allows senior citizens to avail Ayurvedic/Homoeopathic facilities from any CGHS dispensary other than Ayurvedic /Homoeopathic CGHS Dispensary allotted /assigned to him/her ;

(b) if not, the reasons thereof;

(c) whether the Government proposes to consider the extension of Ayurvedic/Homoeopathic facilities to senior citizens from any of the CGHS Dispensary; and

(d) if so, the time by when the same will be done?

(a)&(b): The CGHS beneficiaries (both serving and pensioner) are required to avail of facilities from the CGHS Ayurvedic/Homoeopathic dispensary/Unit that is tagged to the CGHS allopathic dispensary where their CGHS card is registered. However, on receipt of a specific request from a pensioner cardholder for availing Ayurvedic/Homoeopathic facilities from a CGHS dispensary/Unit other than the one to which they are tagged/attached, such requests are considered by CGHS Directorate on merits.

(c): No, Sir.

(d): In view of (c) above, the question does not arise.
