Question : Completion of Delayed Housing Projects

a) the funds released to various States/UTs under the Integrated Housing and Slum Development Programme (IHSDP) during each of the last three years and the current year, State/UT-wise;

(b) the details of the funds utilized by the various States/UTs under the programme during the said period, State/UT-wise; and

(c) whether there has been regular inspections to check the utilization of the funds under the programme and if so, the details thereof?

(a)& (b): The period of Integrated Housing and Slum Development Programme (IHSDP), a component of Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JnNURM) was upto March, 2012. However, to complete the on-going projects sanctioned upto 31.03.2012, the period was first extended upto March 2015 and then upto March 2017. Details of the funds released and utilized by the various States/UTs under the IHSDP during the last three years and the current year, State/UT-wise are annexed.

(c): IHSDP projects are implemented by State/UT Governments through its implementing agencies/Urban Local Bodies concerned. The Ministry reviews status of progress and utilization of funds released under the programme on a regular basis with States/UTs through Monthly and Quarterly Progress Reports, in the meetings of Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee, through Video Conferences, field visits etc.
