Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has started the construction of proposed AIIMS at Rajkot;
(b) if so, the details thereof along with the funds allocated so far and the total estimated cost of the project including land acquisition and pre-construction activities;
(c) the details of the studies/surveys, clearance and NOC’s obtained for the purpose; and
(d) the time by which the proposed premier hospital will be operationalized?

STARRED QUESTION NO. 13* FOR 21ST JUNE, 2019
a. Cabinet has approved setting up of AIIMS at Rajkot, Gujarat, at the cost of Rs.1195 crore on 10.1.2019. Executing Agency for pre-investment activities has been appointed.
b. Approved cost of the project including cost of pre-construction activities is Rs. 1195 crore. State Government has to handover free of cost land to Government of India for setting up of AIIMS.
c. Pre-investment activities including soil survey, topographical survey is in progress.
d. The Cabinet approved timeline for completion of the project is October, 2022.
