Answer given by the minister

MINISTER OF STATE FOR STEEL, MINES, LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT (SHRI VISHNU DEO SAI)

(a) & (b): No, Madam. There is no proposal to amalgamate all the 10 schemes. However, a pilot project for convergence on implementation of three social security schemes namely Aam Admi Bima Yojana, Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana and Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme on a single platform for unorganised workers is being initiated by this Ministry. An Inter-Ministerial Group has already been constituted for the same and a budget of Rs. 146 crore has already been approved by National Social Security Fund Committee.

(c): All the eligible unorganised workers under Unorganised Workers Social Security Act, 2008 who are eligible for any of the three schemes are likely to be benefited.

(d): The detailed project report for the project is under development.
