Question : Appointments in Coir Board

(a) the total number of appointments made in the Coir Board during each of the last years and the current year;

(b) whether compassionate appointments are being made in the Coir Board;

(c) if so, the number of the persons appointed on compassionate ground during the last three years and current year alongwith the directions prescribed for such appointments;

(d) whether applications for compassionate appointment are pending in the Coir Board; and

(e) if so, the details thereof and the action taken/to be taken/to be taken thereon?

(a): The total number of appointments made in Coir Board during the last years from 2014 onwards are as follows:

(b) & (c): Yes, Sir. Compassionate appointments are being made in the Coir Board. No appointments were made on compassionate ground during the last three years and current year. Only 5% of the total Direct Recruit vacancies in Group ‘C’ category are considered for filling Compassionate ground Appointment, as per rules.

(d) & (e): 9 applications as detailed below are under consideration of compassionate appointment under Coir Board as per rule.
