(a) whether the Government proposes to amend the existing solar rooftop implementation mechanism for the discoms;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government also proposes to launch any scheme or thinking of providing incentives to the discoms for rooftop installations; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (d) A detailed concept note for making DISCOMS as major stakeholders in implementation of rooftop solar scheme has been prepared. The concept note has a provision for incentivizing DISCOMS on achieving certain rooftop solar capacity by them.
The concept note is in the process of consultation with stakeholders.
