(a) whether the Union Government has received proposals with regard to electrification of villages located in backward and inaccessible areas including forest areas through new and renewable energy;
(b) if so, the details thereof during the last three years and the current year, State/UT-wise;
(c) the details of the sanctioned proposals and funds released for the said purpose during the above period, Sate/UT-wise; and
(d) the time by which remaining proposals are likely to be cleared?

(a)& (b): Yes, Madam. The Ministry has received proposals as per the guidelines of the Remote Villages Electrification (RVE) programme from various States, for electrification of villages and hamlets including backward villages and forest areas during last three years and in the current year. The proposals received and approved by the Ministry are given in Annexure. Apart from above, three proposals one each from Uttrakhand, Manipur and Assam have also been received for consideration.
(c): The State wise funds released by the Ministry for this purpose during the said period is also given in Annexure.
(d): Ministry is not approving any new proposals under RVE programme as the priority is to complete on-going projects with available budget.
