Question : Setting up of FPIs

(a) the total number of persons who have applied for setting up of Food Processing Industries (FPIs) in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh separately during the years 2018-19 and 2019-20 along with the details in this regard;

(b) the number of applications sanctioned in Uttar Pradesh and district-wise in Rajasthan including Banswara - Dungarpur along with the details of the sanctioned applications;

(c) the amount of budget allocated/utilized for setting up of Food Processing Industries in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh separately during the years 2018-19 and 2019-20; and

(d) the percentage of subsidy provided by the Government for setting up of Food Processing Industries?

STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO PART (a) TO (d) OF LOK SABHA STARRED QUESTION NO. *216 FOR ANSWER ON 09TH MARCH, 2021 REGARDING “SETTING UP OF FPIs”

(a): The number of applications received during FY 2018-19 and 2019-20 for setting up food processing industries/ units/ projects in the state of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh under different component schemes of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana (PMKSY) is placed at Annexure -I.
(b): The details of projects approved under PMKSY during FY 2018-19 and 2019-20 in the state of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan is placed at Annexure II and Annexure III respectively.
(c): The component schemes of PMKSY are demand driven and therefore, state wise budget is not allocated under these schemes. However, the amount of grants-in-aid released for the projects in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh during the 2018-19 and 2019-20 is placed at Annexure IV.
(d): Financial assistance provided in the form of Grant-in-Aid for setting up of food processing industries varies under the different components of the scheme. The details are placed at Annexure V.
