Question : Cooking Gas for Mid-Day Meal Scheme

(a) whether the Government proposes to allocate additional funds to the States for cooking
gas connections to schools in all the States including Rajasthan under Mid-Day Meal
scheme;
(b) if so, the time by which the funds are likely to be allocated; and
(c) if not, the reasons therefor?

(c): Guidelines of the Mid Day Meal Scheme (MDMS) do not provide for separate financial
assistance for cooking gas connection.
