Question : SCARCITY OF IODISED SALT

(a) whether the scarcity of iodised salt has increased death rate in the country;

(b) if so, the details of deaths occurred due to scarcity of iodised salt in the country during each of the last three years, State-wise; and

(c) the steps taken to reduce the death rate in the country?

(a) No, Sir. No incidence of death has been reported on account of non-consumption of edible Iodised salt in the country.
