(a) to (b): Government of India has adopted a strategy of Co-location of AYUSH facilities at Primary Health Centres (PHCs), Community Health Centres (CHCs) and District Hospitals (DHs), thus enabling choice to the patients for different systems of medicine. The engagement of AYUSH Doctors / paramedics and their training is supported by the Department of Health & Family Welfare under National Health Mission (NHM), while the support for AYUSH infrastructure, equipment/furniture and medicines are provided by Ministry of AYUSH under Centrally Sponsored Scheme of National AYUSH Mission (NAM). Accordingly, Government of India has released Rs. 13.94 Crore for 2244 PHCs, Rs. 4.59 Crore for 742 CHCs and Rs. 8.59 Crore for 257 DHs in the States/UTs as per the proposal received from them during 2019-20.
(c): As Health is a State Subject, opening of AYUSH Hospitals in the country comes under the purview of respective State/UT Governments. However, under Centrally Sponsored Scheme of National AYUSH Mission (NAM), there is a provision of financial assistance for setting up of
upto 50-bedded integrated AYUSH Hospitals in the States/ UTs including State Govt. of Rajasthan.
The details of setting up of upto 50 bedded integrated AYUSH hospitals approved by Central Government States/UTs wise including Rajasthan during the last three years are furnished at Annexure I.
(d): The details of financial assistance provided to the State Govt. of Rajasthan for the upgradation of AYUSH hospitals and dispensaries and Supply of essential drugs to AYUSH hospitals and dispensaries during the last three years is furnished at Annexure II.
