(a) whether the Government has recently proposed to launch new projects to promote tourism on a large scale in the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether any such project has been approved for Madhya Pradesh where huge tourism potential is available; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (d): The Ministry of Tourism as part of its regular promotional exercise promotes various tourism destinations and products of the country including those in Madhya Pradesh in domestic and international potential markets in a holistic manner. These promotions are undertaken through various communication platforms such as media campaigns, events, webinars, road shows, participation in fairs & festivals, social media platforms etc.
The Ministry of Tourism under its schemes of ‘Swadesh Darshan’ and ‘National Mission on Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive (PRASHAD)’ provides financial assistance to State Governments/Union Territory (UT) Administrations/Central Agencies including Madhya Pradesh for development of tourism infrastructure in the country. The details of the projects sanctioned under ‘Swadesh Darshan’ and ‘PRASHAD’ schemes is Annexed.
