Question : Slum Rehabilitation Projects

(a) whether the Union Government has received any proposal from the State Government of Maharashtra seeking environmental approval for a scheme declared and notified by MoEF dt. 6.1.2011 pertaining to Slum Rehabilitation Projects in the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) II(SRA);
(b) if so, the details and the present status of the said proposal; and
(c) the time by which the said proposal is likely to be finalized along with the reasons for delay, if any?

(a) to (c) No Sir. The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has not received any Slum Rehabilitation Scheme project proposal from the State Government or through its parastatal agencies like Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA), Shivashahi Punrvasan Prakalp Limited (SPPL), Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) and the like, as prescribed in the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) Notification, 2011 issued on 06.01.2011.
