Question : IMPLEMENTATION TO INDUSTRIAL PROJECTS



(a) whether the Government have a proposal for the constitution of the Standing Committee of Commerce and Industry to monitor the implementation of industrial projects on a continuous basis;

(b) if so, the details in this regard;

(c) whether the Government have also a proposal to review economic laws;

(d) if so, the details of the laws which are going to be reviewed and the amendments likely to be made; and

(e) the time frame fixed for the purpose?

(a) to (e): This Department is implementing a Scheme titled as Industrial Infrastructure Upgradation Scheme for upgrading and enhancing the quality of the infrastrucutre in the existing industrial clusters/locations with high growth potential requiring strategic interventions. The projects under the scheme are to be sanctioned by a Standing Inter Ministerial Apex Committee at the Central Government level. The implementation of the Scheme does not require any review of the existing economic laws.
