Answer given by the minister

THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE
MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS

(SHRI MANSUKH L. MANDAVIYA)

(a) to (b) Development and maintenance of National Highways (NHs) is a continuous process and these are kept in traffic worthy condition depending upon the availability of funds and inter se priority. The state-wise details of length of NHs developed/constructed during the last three years including Uttar Pradesh are given in Annexure-I. The State-wise details of NHs which have been added/declared from State Highways are given in Annexure-II.

(c) to (e) Yes madam. There have been representations from the traders, residents, shopkeepers to change the alignment of the proposed highway passing through Khurdahi Bazar. Alignment of this road has been finalized by the DPR consultant keeping in view the technical requirements since the existing road alignment was in a very sharp curve which cannot cater the design standards of four laning, so accordingly improvement is proposed with shifting the alignment to the Right Hand Side (RHS) to improve the curve for meeting the design standards. About 191 persons are effected in Khurdahi Bazar for which total Rs 9.18 Cr. compensation has been deposited in the joint account of CALA. But only Rs. 1.49 Cr. has been disbursed by the Additional District Magistrate (LA) due to dispute in ownership of land for which 125 persons approached the District Court.
