(a) whether the Government proposes to make contribution to the
cantonment boards and other local boards for the development of cantonment
areas covered under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (c): Keeping in view the need for comprehensive city planning the
Ministry has advised the cities to take into account the infrastructure
requirements of cantonment areas especially with reference to water supply,
sewerage solid waste management etc. while preparing and/ or revising City
Development Plans (CDPs) under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission
(JNNURM).
