(a) the total number of Direct Payment System (DPS) labourers in the Food Corporation of India, State-wise;
(b) whether the Government is considering any proposal for absorption of DPS labourers in the regular
service of FCI; and
(c) if so, the details thereof?

(a): The statement containing number of DPS labourers in FCI state-wise is enclosed as Annexure.
(b): The DPS is one of the labour systems functioning in FCI. At present, there is no proposal
to absorb the labourers working under Direct Payment System category as Departmental Labour.
(c): In view of the position explained against (b) above, question does not arise.
