Question : ALLOCATION OF UNSPENT FUNDS UNDER SJSRY TO A.P.



(a) whether the Union Government have decided to allocate the unspent funds under Swarna Jayanti Shahari Rozgar Yojana (SJSRY) to Andhra Pradesh;

(b) if so, whether the State will be allocated Rs.52 crore unspent during 2000-2001 by various States under SJSRY;

(c) if so, the details thereof;

(d) whether Rs.26 crore out of the total allocation of Rs.35 crore under National Slum Development Programme and Rs.14 crore under SJSRY have been released to the State during 2000-2001;

(e) if so, the amount utilised by the State Government; and

(f) the projects taken up by the State Government therewith?

(a)to(c): Question does not arise since there was no such unspent amount of Rs.52 crores available during the year 2000-2001.

(d): The tentative allocation earmarked under Swarna Jayanti Shahari Rozgar Yojana (SJSRY) and National Slum Development Programme (NSDP) in favour of Government of Andhra Pradesh for the year 2000-01 was Rs.1417.04 lakhs and Rs.3575.00 lakhs respectively. The earmarked allocation under SJSRY was sanctioned on 30th March 2001. As regards NSDP, a sum of Rs.888.89 lakhs only was released in favour of the State Government during 2000-01.

(e)&(f): The development under these two schemes are a continuing process. Based on reports from the State Government, cumulative achievements have been as under:-

1.	SJSRY:-
(a) Beneficiaries assisted under Urban - 48475 Self Employment Programme(USEP)
(b) Mandays of work generated under - 72.46 lakhs Urban Wage Employment Programme (UWEP)
2. NSDP:- Beneficiaries covered - 35.86 lakhs
