Question : Cancellation of FCRA Registration

(a) whether the Government has cancelled the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) registration of various NGOs particularly run by Minority institutions and individuals from minority communities in Tamil Nadu during the last two years;

(b) if so, the details thereof and if not the reasons therefor;

(c) whether there is an inordinate delay in the process of registration of FCRA by NGOs from Tamil Nadu, if so, the details thereof and the list of NGOs already granted FCRA registration and those which are pending; and

(d) the effective measures taken by the Government to expedite the process of FCRA registration by various NGOs from Tamil Nadu?

(a): This Ministry does not maintain community wise data on FCRA Association.

(b): Question does not arise.

(c): No, Sir. The details of Associations granted FCRA registration certificate are already available on the FCRA web Portal of the Ministry of Home Affairs. As on 01st February, 2022, 113 applications of NGOs from Tamil Nadu are pending for FCRA registration.

(d): The work of registration for entire country is progressing with normal pace.
