(a) whether the Railways have taken a note that a meeting has been held by the General Manager, South Central Railway with the peoples’ representatives in Vijayawada recently;
(b) if so, the details thereof along with the recommendations made by the peoples’ representatives in this meeting; and
(c) the action taken by the Railways on the basis of these recommendations?

(a) & (b): Yes, Madam. A meeting was convened by General Manager/South Central Railway at Vijayawada on 06-01-2015, which inter alia was attended by 17 Hon’ble Members of Parliament from Lok Sabha and 1 Hon’ble Member of Parliament from Rajya Sabha and officers of South Central Railway. In the meeting, the Members of Parliament requested inter alia for introduction of trains, extension of trains, stoppage of trains, construction of new lines & fly overs, modernization of stations etc.
(c): The requests received from Hon’ble Members of Parliament are taken as valuable inputs for planning and are taken up if found feasible and justified.
