(a) whether considering inflation, the Ministry proposes to extend Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) further from March, 2022;
(b) if so, the number of States and districts covered so far under the said scheme;
(c) whether the Government proposes to implement the said scheme in all the States of the country; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (d): The Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) has been extended for a period of another six months i.e. April to September, 2022 (Phase-VI).
Under PMGKAY, Govt of India has made allocation of foodgrains @ 5 kg per person per month free of cost for around 80 crore beneficiaries of all the 36 States/UTs covered under NFSA (Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) & Priority Households(PHH)) including those covered under Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
The implementation of scheme is a joint responsibility of the Central and State Governments/UT Administrations. The State Governments/UT Administrations are responsible for the identification of beneficiaries and distribution of foodgrains to them within the respective State/UT.
