Question : Progesterone only Pills

Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:

(a) whether the roll out of Progesterone only Pills (PoP) introduced by the Government have been scheduled in the current year 2017;

(b) if so, the details thereof along with the status of procurement of Progesterone only Pills as per the Government’s plan; and

(c) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (c): The Progesterone only Pills (POP) has been started by the Government on pilot basis only in one district each of six state viz; Assam, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Telangana and Bihar.
