Question : PRE-EXAMINATION TRAINING TO SC STUDENTS



(a) whether the Government of Madhya Pradesh has sent a proposal to the Union Government sharing 50 percent each by the Union Government and the State Government for the year 2003-2004 for preparing the youths of Scheduled Castes for competitive examinations in State level Civil Services;

(b) if so, the details thereof; and

(c) the reaction of the Union Government thereto?

(a) Yes, Sir.

(b) & (c) ST & SC Development Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh had submitted a proposal for providing pre-examination coaching to SCs, OBCs and Minorities students for preparing UPSC, MPPSC, PET, PMT, Railways, Banking, SSC and other Services examinations during the year 2003-04 under the Scheme of coaching and allied assistance for weaker sections including SCs, OBCs and Minorities with a budget proposal of Rs. 45.00 lakhs. The Proposal was examined and Government of India had sanctioned Rs. 36,48, 750/-. Against the Central share of Rs. 18,24,375/-, a sum of Rs. 15,11,625/- was released after deducting an unspent balance of Rs. 3,12,750/- of previous years.
