Question : Central Board for Workers Education

(a)the number of cases relating to the Central Board for Workers Education pending in different courts in the country at present, State/UT-wise;
(b)whether it is a fact that recently more than Rs. 3 crores were deposited by the Board in Nagpur court in a case without approval of the competent authority/Government and if so, the details thereof;
(c)whether any enquiry has been conducted in this regard; and
(d)if so, the details and the outcome thereof and if not, the reasons therefor along with the steps taken/being taken in this regard?

(a): A statement is attached.
(b): On arbitration award by Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Council, an amount of Rs.3.44 crore was deposited by the CBWE in the Court of Principal District Judge, District Court Nagpur on the advice of Assistant Solicitor General.

(c) & (d): The amount was deposited on the advice of Assistant Solicitor General which was necessary for filing appeal against the award.
