(a) whether the Government will take steps to start a college of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry at Chidambaram or Ariyalur in Tamil Nadu in view of the fact that most of the people in these areas rely on agriculture and cattle rearing in their secondary profession ; and
(b) if so, the details thereof ?

(a) and (b): Establishment of veterinary colleges is under the purview of State Governments as per their requirement of trained veterinary manpower. There is no decision to start a college of Veterinary Sciences and Animal husbandry at Chidambaram or Ariyalur in Tamil Nadu by the Central Government.
