(a)to(c) Under the Reproductive and Child Health Programme interventions are provided for children under the age of five years. These include immunization against six vaccine preventable diseases; facilities for appropriate management of acute respiratory infections and diarrhoeal diseases; provision of essential new born care; and prophylaxis against vitamin `A` deficiency and iron deficiency anemia.
There is no provision in the 9th Five Year Plan for providing free medical services in schools.
