STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO PARTS (a) TO (c) OF UNSTARRED QUESTION NO.108 BY SHRI RAMESH
VISWANATH KATTI TO BE ANSWERRED IN LOK SABHA ON 05.12.2013 REGARDING STATIONS IN KARNATAKA.
(a) to (c): 26 stations, including three stations in Belgaum District, have so far been
identified for upgradation under the âAdarshâ Station scheme in the state of Karnataka. Out
of these, 18 stations have already been developed. Remaining 8 stations are planned for
completion during 2013-14 and 2014-15 subject to availability of funds. Station-wise details
of funds allocated/spent are not maintained. The expenditure on such work is funded under
Plan Head âPassenger Amenitiesâ. The expenditure under Plan Head âPassenger Amenitiesâ on
Central, Southern, South Central and South Western Railways which cover Karnataka state in
addition to other stations in their jurisdiction, during the last three years and the current
year is as under:
