THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE
MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS

(SHRI PON. RADHAKRISHNAN)

(a) to (c) State- wise details of the highway projects awarded during the last year are at Annexure-I. In view of the investments in the highway sector, numbers of employment opportunities are likely to come up. However due to involvement of large number of private players directly and indirectly in this sector, it is not possible to ascertain the numbers of jobs created.

(d) & (e) Development of National Highways is a continuous process and projects are undertaken on the basis of inter-se priority and availability of funds. The State wise details of the projects likely to be awarded during the current year are at Annexure-II.
