Question : ESTABLISHMENT OF IT HUB PARK

(a) whether the Government has any proposal for establishment of Information Technology (IT) Hub/Parks in various parts of the country including Bihar and Maharashtra;

(b) if so, the details thereof State/UT wise alongwith the norms laid down for the purpose;

(c) whether the Government has broached this issue with the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) or any other IT companies;

(d) if so, the details and outcome thereof; and

(e) the steps taken by the Government to ensure time bound implementation of the project across the country?

(a) and (b): Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) has no proposal for establishment of IT parks in the country. However, 53 Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) centres are currently operational in the country. The details of STPI centres across the country including those located in the States of Bihar and Maharashtra are given at Annexure-A. The norms for setting up a new STPI centre in a state is given at Annexure – B.
