(a) whether the Government has received any proposal for renaming Jhansi railway station in the name of warrior Laxmibai;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the recommendation of local administration has been received for renmaing of Jhansi railway station; and
(d) if so, the details thereof including the time by which the process of renaming is likely to be completed?

(a) to (d): The Govt. Of Uttar Pradesh has sent a proposal for renaming “Jhansi Railway Station” as “Veerangana Laxmibai Railway Station” in District-Jhansi. As per laid down procedure, the comments/views of agencies concerned have been sought. Further action will be taken after the comments/views are received from all the agencies concerned.
