Answer given by the minister

MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF PETROLEUM & NATURAL GAS ( SHRI SANTOSH KUMAR GANGWAR )

(a) : Yes, Sir.

(b) : The Dealers were already being compensated by Temperature Variation Allowance (TVA) to all deliveries of MS and HSD from installations/facilities of the refineries, under the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. The Committee has recommended some modifications in Temperature Variation Allowance calculation methodology.

(c) & (d) : As per the existing practice, the loading temperature of the product and the ambient temperature at that location are recorded/considered for the purpose of allowing compensation on account of the variation of these two temperatures as per the Temperature Variation Allowance formula in vogue.
