(a) the number of scheduled flights operated from Delhi to Punjab and vice versa;

(b) whether there are any plans to increase the numbers of flights from Delhi to Punjab and vice versa in future;

(c) if so, the details thereof; and

(d) the details of major cities directly connected by air with Punjab?

(a):- The details of scheduled air services from Delhi to Punjab and vice versa are as follows:

Delhi-Amritsar-Delhi - Daily

Delhi-Kullu-Pathankot - Delhi 03 flights/week

Jet Airways

Delhi-Amritsar-Delhi - Twice Daily

Delhi-Chandigarh-Delhi - Twice Daily

Kingfisher Airlines

Delhi-Chandigarh-Delhi - Daily

Delhi-Amritsar-Delhi - Twice Daily

Delhi-Chandigarh-Jammu-Srinagar - Daily & VV

Go Air

Delhi-Chandigarh-Mumbai - Daily

(b) and (c):- The Government has laid down Route Dispersal Guidelines with a view to achieve better regulation of air transport services taking into account the need for air transport services of different regions of the country including North-East region. The airlines provide air services to specific places depending upon the traffic demand and commercial viability while complying with Route Dispersal Guidelines.

(d):- At present, Delhi and Mumbai are directly connected with the State of Punjab.
