Question : Top Class Education Scheme for SC Students

(a) whether the Government proposes to amend the income eligibility criteria for availing scholarship under Top Class Education Scheme for SC students;

(b) if so the details thereof; and

(c) the details of the estimated increase in the number of SC students to avail the benefit due to the proposed amendment?

(a) & (b): The ceiling of total annual family income from all sources under the scheme has been increased from Rs.4.50 lakh to Rs.6.00 lakh which will be effective from the academic year 2018-19.
