Question : Registered Women SHGs in Madhya Pradesh

(a) the number of registered Women Self Help Groups (SHGs) especially in Gwalior district in Madhya Pradesh;

(b) the total funds provided to these groups in Gwalior district during the last three years;

(c) the business/profession being undertaken by these groups; and

(d) whether any training is being given to these SHGs to expand their business and marketing knowledge and if so, the details thereof?

(a) There are a total of 3,852 women Self Help Groups (SHGs) promoted in Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh under Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana- National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM).

(b) During the last three years Rs 297.78 lakh has been provided to the SHGs as Revolving Fund (RF) and Rs 1183.52 lakh has been provided as Community Investment Fund (CIF) in Gwalior district.

(c) The major business/professions being undertaken by the SHGs in the Gwalior district are agriculture and livestock, kirana store, masala unit, bakery products, beauty parlour, centring work, stitching and readymade garment, mushroom production etc.

(d) Yes sir. The SHGs have been given training in various fields for expanding their business and marketing knowledge namely financial literacy, audit, documentation, mask & PPE kit making, vegetable cultivation, stitching of school uniform, livestock management, producer group formation etc.
