(a) whether there is any dispute between National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) and Coal India Limited (CIL) in regard to conducting the tests of samples of coal by the third party;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government has intervened/proposes to intervene in the matter so as to resolve it amicably; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a)&(b): As per information available from National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) and Coal India Limited (CIL), currently there is no such dispute between them with regard to the third party sampling and analysis at the loading end. With a view to address the issues of quality, third party sampling and analysis facilities at loading ends have been introduced with effect from October, 2013. The process is being further streamlined.
(c)&(d): Does not arise in view of reply at (a)&(b) above.
