Question : DEVELOPMENT OF TOURIST PLACES AT JALAUN DISTRICT



(a) whether the Government has received any proposal from the Public representatives from Jalaun for development of tourist places at Jalaun District in the State of Uttar Pradesh during the last three years; and

(b) if so, the action taken by the Government thereon?

(a) and (b): There is no record available in the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India regarding any proposal from the Public representatives from Jalaun for development of tourist places at Jalaun District in the State of Uttar Pradesh during the last three years.

However, Ministry has sanctioned one project namely; “Beautification & Development of Mahil Talab, Orai, District Jalaun as a Tourist Destination” for Central Financial Assistance of Rs.145.93 lakh during the year 2012-13 as development and promotion of tourism is primarily undertaken by the State Governments/UT Administrations themselves. The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India provides Central Financial Assistance for tourism projects which are prioritized in consultation with the State Governments/UT Administrations. The project proposals which are complete as per scheme guidelines are sanctioned and funds released subject to inter-se-priority, availability of funds and submission of utilization certificates.
