THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF URBAN DEVELOPMENT ( SHRI AJAY MAKEN )

(a)&(b): The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has informed that upto April, 2006 five housing societies in Sector-12, Dwarka were charged Rs.125/- per tanker as a special case because these societies were not getting piped water supply due to shortage of water. However, at present there is a uniform rate of water supply through tankers @ Rs.300/- per tanker for all the housing societies in Dwarka.

(c)&(d): DDA has informed that it is pursuing the matter of handing over of water supply in Dwarka to Delhi Jal Board (DJB). DJB has taken up the matter with Government of Haryana as well as the Central Water Commission in connection with the directions from Hon`ble Supreme Court issued on 10.5.2000 in CWP No. 537/1992.
