(a) whether the Government has set up Engineering Cluster in Nashik district of Maharashtra under the Modified Industrial Infrastructure Upgradation Scheme (MIIUS);
(b) if so, the details thereof;

(a): Yes Madam. Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP) under Ministry of Commerce and Industry has set up ‘Nashik Engineering Cluster’ in Nashik district of Maharashtra under the parent scheme of ‘Modified Industrial Infrastructure Upgradation Scheme (MIIUS)’ which was known as ‘Industrial Infrastructure Upgradation Scheme (IIUS)’.

(d): The project at Nasik Engineering Cluster (NEC) has been completed and NEC has created world class common industrial infrastructure like ‘Rapid Prototype Development centre’, Training centre along with well-equipped training studio and work stations, and a Calibration & Testing facility which has been accredited by National Accreditation Board for Laboratories (NABL).
