(a) whether the Government is aware about the rail project sanctioned in 2011-12 to establish a wagon factory in Sitalapalli Village in Ganjam, Odisha;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the current status and plan on part of the Government to commission this project?

(a) to (c) Setting up of wagon factory at Sitalapalli in Ganjam, Odisha has been sanctioned in Railway Budget 2012-13. However, the existing wagon manufacturing capacity including both private and public sector units is adequate to meet the current demand for new wagons based on traffic projections. As a result, setting up of this wagon factory has not been commenced.
