Question : SETTING UP OF THERMAL POWER PLANTS



(a) the names of States to which proposals have been sent by the Union Government for setting up of thermal power plants for providing cheap electricity in the country;

(b) the names of the States with which Memorandum of Understanding has been signed after deciding the location for setting up thermal power stations;

(c) whether such a scheme is proposed to be launched in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh also; and

(d) if so, the time by which it is likely to be done?
