Question : GUIDELINES FOR DEPLOYMENT OF DELHI POLICE PERSONNEL



(a) whether the Government has issued any standardised norms/ guidelines for the tenure of deployment of personnel including women police personnel in the Delhi Police;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether there are reports of women personnel in the several grades including constables being retained in the same place in contravention of the prevailing deployment policy/guidelines;

(d) if so, the details thereof; and

(e) the details of the steps taken/ proposed to be taken to have uniform tenure and ensure strict compliance of the policy/guidelines for the tenure of deployment of personnel in Delhi Police?

(a) & (b): Yes, Madam. Norms/guidelines for the transfer/posting of officers/men upto the rank of ACP are contained in Standing order No.289/2010 issued by Delhi Police.

(c) to (e): 41 Women Sub Inspectors (SI), 140 Women Assistant Sub Inspectors (ASI), 216 Women Head Constables (HC) and 263 Women Constables posted in the Districts/Units have completed their tenure as per para 5 of Standing Order No.289 of 2010. General transfer orders of such staff who complete their tenure as per Standing Order No. 289/2010 are issued periodically.
