MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS AND MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF PERSONNEL, PUBLIC GRIEVANCES AND PENSIONS (SHRI HARIN PATHAK)

(a): No, Sir.

(b): Does not arise.

(c)&(d): There is no Police Station functioning directly under the Cell and as such the cases recommended by it are formally registered at the Police Stations concerned.

(e): In order to make the Crime Against Women Cell more effective, a new helpline toll free-telephone number working on round-the-clock basis has been set up in the Delhi Police Control Room. Besides, a specialized team of women police personnel headed by a lady Inspector of Police attends to distress calls received from women on round-the-clock basis. The other steps taken to effectively deal with the crimes against women include setting up of Crisis Intervention Centres in all the nine Police Districts and close coordination with the Non Governmental Organisations, National Commission for Women and other agencies connected with women issues.
