(a) whether the Railways have conducted survey for four times to provide railway connectivity to Banswara District;

(b) if so, the dates on which the said survey was conducted alongwith the amount spent thereon;

(c) whether survey work for the railway line from Ratlam to Banswara-Dungarpur was also done earlier; and

(d) if so, the details and the steps taken by the Railways to provide rail connectivity to tribal areas of Banswara District?

(a) & (b) : Details of the surveys conducted for providing rail connectivity to Banswara are as under :

1. Ratlam- 2002-03 Rs.27.00 lakh Survey Banswara- completed and Dungarpur work was not taken up. 2. Ratlam- 2004-05 Rs. 1.30 lakh Survey Banswara- completed and Dungarpur work was not taken up. 3. Dahod- 2004-05 Rs.16.20 lakh Survey Banswara completed and work was not taken up. 4. Ratlam- 2007-08 - Updating survey Banswara included in the Budget 2007-08.

(c) : Yes, Sir.

(d) : Updating survey for Ratlam-Banswara has been included in the Budget 2007-08 at a cost of Rs.5.28 lakh.
