(a) whether the Union government proposes to issue direction/advisory to the State Governments to run traffic signals through solar energy so as to conserve electricity;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the time by which it is likely to be issued; and
(c) if not, the reasons therefor?

(b): Question does not arise.
(c): Traffic Signals through Solar Energy are already covered under Off Grid and Decentralized Solar Application programme, where Central Financial Assistance (CFA) will be provided @ Rs.75/ Wp for such systems. Hence, no further direction or advise to the State Governments is required.
