(a)& (b) An assessment of potential sites for reintroducing the Cheetah in India has been done through the Wildlife Institute of India, in collaboration with the Wildlife Trust of India, which, interalia, includes the Nauradehi Wildlife Sanctuary of Madhya Pradesh. A Task Force for reintroduction of Cheetah in India has been constituted for developing a roadmap with detailed ecorestoration plans for potential sites, sourcing of the species and undertaking further scientific work relating to reintroduction. Action has been taken for providing funding support to the said initiative.
