(a) whether the Government proposes to bring the schemes being implemented for economic and social empowerment of tribals under the schemes for development of naxal affected areas;

(b) if so, the details thereof; and

(a) to (c): The Government of India has taken up a number of schemes for development of naxal affected areas. It includes the Integrated Action Plan for 60 selected tribal and backward districts, Road Requirement Plan for LWE areas, various flagship programmes such as Supplementary Nutrition (ICDS), Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Road Connectivity (PMGSY), Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, Housing (Indira Awas Yojna), Health (NRHM), Electrification (RGGVY), Drinking Water Supply, Ashram Schools and Forest Rights Act. In addition, a list of major schemes/programmes of the Government for the welfare and development of Scheduled Tribes is at Annex-I.
