(a) whether the Government propose to open more CNG stations in the country during the financial year 2000-2001;
(b) if so, the details thereof, citywise and State-wise;
(c) the number of CNG stations awaiting clearance; and
(d) the steps taken by the Government to clear the same?

(a)& (b) The State and city-wise status of CNG stations to be opened during 2000-01 is indicated below:-
State City No. of Stations(c) & (d) : 8 CNG stations are awaiting clearance in Delhi. The allotment of land and obtaining various clearances etc., is an ongoing and continuous process.
