Question : Status of PMGSY

(a) the status of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) in the country during the last three years and the current year, State/UT-wise including Rajasthan;
(b) the name of the sanctioned projects under this scheme during the above said period, State/UT-wise including Rajasthan;
(c) whether any amount has been released for the upgradation of existing roads during the said period, State/UT-wise including Rajasthan, if not the reasons there for;
(d) the measures taken by the Government for upgradation of existing road and construction of new roads under this scheme, State/UT-wise including Rajasthan;
(e) whether the roads have been constructed on both sides of railway tracks under PMGSY but there is no justification of such roads due to lack of rail under bridges/level crossings, if so, the details thereof, State/UT-wise; and
(f) whether there is any scheme to connect one village to another and to construct rail under pass/railway level crossing on railway lines between these roads for the usage of those roads under the PMGSY and if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons there for?

(a) : ‘Rural Roads’ is a State subject and Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) is a one- time special intervention to provide rural connectivity, by way of a single all –weather road, to the eligible unconnected habitations in the core network. Details of State-wise habitations covered and road-lengh completed during each of the last three years and the current year (upto January, 2016) under PMGSY including Rajasthan are at Annexure –I.

(b) : State-wise details of projects sanctioned under PMGSY during the last three years and current year including Rajasthan are at Annexure-II.
